I feel like getting deep, i know it’s Friday evening and the weekend is here but this is playing on my mind. I want to talk big picture stuff. Our planet is sick. 🌎 Humans are sick 🤒 Our oceans and air are polluted. We need to evaluate how we live, our lifestyles, our habits are not sustainable. __ Yesterday I managed to grab snippets of the Austrian Climate Summit. It was amazing to watch. @janegoodallinst described our planet and it’s biodiversity like a tapestry. She explained so eloquently when a species becomes extinct we need to think about the impact it has on other species. It could have been the main food source for one species, which in turn is a main source for another and another and every species is a thread in this tapestry, and every species that becomes extinct is another piece of the thread being pulled out of this tapestry and eventually after many threads have come loose the tapestry collapses. Our planet collapses. This is where we are heading, we know this, but our collective work as a human race worldwide is not enough, many don’t take the climate crisis seriously. Our politicians don’t take the climate crisis seriously. We’ve seen first hand what can be achieved when government pump money into solutions. We’ve got the tech ready, it needs supersizing, it needs dedicated funding, real funding. This month is #plasticfreejuly what small changes will you make? Are these changes sustainable for you? Let’s make new environmentally friendly habits together. #talulalittle #noplanetb #saveouroceans #saveourtrees #saveourrainforests
